The purpose of iSlow is to facilitate the integration of our colivers in a new and exciting environment. We are a small coastal town in which everybody knows everybody and our values as a community are evident in the frequency with which we get together to share, help or celebrate.
Ourselves, our families and friends, and our collaborators are the human heartbeat of iSlow, the point of connection between the community and the guests, and as such we will share with them our culture, our gastronomy, our customs and traditions. We wish, from the heart, that the experience at iSlow can be the experience of a lifetime.
The heart of life at iSlow is centred around its traditional stone house, built around the year 1915. It belonged to iSlow founder Inés’s great-grandfather, Severino do Perito, who came from the nearby village of Borneiro and married Carmen, from whom, after 30 years of marriage, he inherited the house.
It is located 1 km from the town centre of Laxe, one of the liveliest towns on the Costa da Morte, in A Coruña, Galicia. The house is surrounded by a 25.000m2 plot of land and a large hill from which many paths lead to a variety of pristine beaches.

Solo Travellers
If you travel alone (or as a couple), are a freelance worker, a digital nomad or you are someone who simply values living in community and connection, iSlow can be a place to call home.
You’ll live together with other solo travellers and digital nomad families. A great way to meet like-minded people, make new friends, and feel part of a community while exploring a new place!

Have you ever wondered why you feel better when you are close to nature? Nature elevates concentration, reduces stress levels and improves mood.
At iSlow we think that productivity and creativity soar when there are fewer space or schedule restrictions, and we let ourselves be carried away by the rhythms set by nature. For this reason, we have designed our workspaces to connect us with our closest environments: the forest and the sea.

We have several work areas, including a common coworking space, where you can work comfortably in the company of other colivers from around the world. Get inspired, share feedback or collaborate. An ideal experience if you are discovering how to launch a project, shape a product, define a strategy, etc.

In 2020, we returned from United Kingdom where we lived for just over 10 years. We liked and enjoyed living abroad, but at the same time were filled with ideas for the “old house” we had waiting for us back home.
Several years passed with us mulling all of these ideas, until one day we felt the call to return home, and we arrived back in Galicia with our heads full of plans.
We wanted our children to grow up in contact with nature, be close to the people we love and live in a community.
But also to create our own network and undertake a project that helped meet the needs of our environment.
To be an open door to a work style in which digitisation allows mobility and where digital nomads create a life based around sustainable and quality initiatives.
This is how iSlow was born, a space to create connections while discovering the beauty of the Costa da Morte first hand.
