Terms of Service

1. Scope of the Platform

nomads.site (“we”, “us”, “the Platform”) provides a digital platform to explore, discover and connect with places, people, projects and opportunities related to nomadic lifestyles.

The Platform aggregates and displays content such as:

  • listings (e.g. places, stays, communities, projects)
  • locations and regions
  • thematic categories (e.g. culture, adventure, digital work)
  • images and media
  • user profiles and contributions

Important:
nomads.site does not offer, sell, manage or operate any of the listed services, locations or experiences.

We act solely as a discovery and connection layer.

2. Nature of Content (Contextual Display)

Content on nomads.site is contextual, relational and partially automated.

This means:

  • listings, images, locations and themes may be displayed together based on shared tags, taxonomy, categories or algorithmic logic
  • content may appear in multiple contexts across the platform
  • appearances do not imply a direct relationship, endorsement or cooperation

Example:
A listing selecting “diving” or “Alpujarra” may trigger related images, locations or other listings to appear alongside it.

3. No Endorsement or Verification

nomads.site does not guarantee:

  • accuracy of content
  • quality of listings
  • safety of locations or experiences
  • identity or reliability of users

Any indication such as:

  • “profile”
  • “listing”
  • “presence”
  • “activity”
    does not constitute endorsement, certification or recommendation.

If verification features exist, they only indicate that a process was completed, not that:

  • information is correct
  • the person is trustworthy
  • the offer is legitimate

4. Standardization of Tags and Categories

To ensure consistency, usability and cross-regional comparability, nomads.site may:

  • modify, merge or rename tags and categories
  • map user-provided inputs to standardized taxonomies
  • reassign or reorganize classifications to align with internal structures or international standards

This includes adapting content to:

  • shared platform definitions
  • cross-domain consistency
  • international terminology and usage

Such adjustments:

  • are made for structural and navigational purposes
  • may differ from the original wording provided by the Organizer
  • do not constitute a change of the underlying offer or its responsibility

Organizers remain solely responsible for:

  • the accuracy and meaning of their content
  • ensuring that their listing is correctly described regardless of categorization

 

4. User Responsibility

Users are fully responsible for:

  • verifying any information before relying on it
  • checking legal requirements (e.g. visas, work permissions, taxes)
  • assessing safety of locations, people and activities
  • making independent decisions regarding interactions

Any agreements, bookings or interactions happen entirely outside the responsibility of nomads.site.

5. Third-Party Relationships

nomads.site is not a party to any agreement between users, hosts, organizers or third parties.

We do not:

  • act as agent, broker or intermediary
  • manage transactions
  • guarantee fulfillment of any offer

All arrangements are made directly between users.

6. Responsibility of Organizers

Users who create or publish listings, profiles or any other content (“Organizers”) are solely responsible for:

  • the legality of their offers, services or activities
  • the accuracy of all information provided
  • compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • obtaining any required licenses, permits or registrations
  • fulfilling any applicable tax and reporting obligations

This includes, without limitation:
accommodation, events, retreats, work or exchange arrangements, and any other services.

nomads.site does not:

  • verify the legality of any content or offer
  • check licenses, permits, registrations or tax compliance
  • control or supervise activities offered through the platform

All interactions, agreements or bookings between users occur solely between those users.

nomads.site is not responsible for the legal validity, compliance or execution of any offer, activity or agreement.

7. Perks and Perk Seals

nomads.site may display offers, benefits or discounts (“Perks”) provided by third parties (“Organizers”).

7.1 Nature of Perks

Perks are defined and provided solely by Organizers.

Organizers are responsible for:

  • defining the conditions of a perk
  • determining availability
  • honoring valid claims in accordance with their own terms

nomads.site does not create, offer, or control perks.

7.2 Perk Seals

nomads.site may allow users to apply a limited number of “Perk Seals” to specific perks.

Perk Seals are a platform feature available to certain members. They allow users to signal interest in specific perks and to indicate their eligibility within the nomads.site ecosystem.

A Perk Seal:

  • indicates a user’s intent to claim a specific perk
  • serves as a signaling and prioritization mechanism within the platform
  • may be taken into account by Organizers when deciding whether to grant a perk
  • may be subject to time limits, availability, and organizer-specific conditions

Perk Seals are a technical and symbolic mechanism only.
They do not constitute a voucher, reservation, booking, contractual right, or entitlement to any benefit.

Where a perk explicitly defines limited availability, a Perk Seal may be considered by the Organizer in managing access under those defined conditions, but does not in itself reserve or guarantee access.

7.3 Membership and Access to Features

The purchase of a membership (including Plus or Premium tiers) grants access to platform features, including a limited number of Perk Seals.

Membership fees are charged for access to these features, not for any underlying perks, services, or offers.

Membership provides the ability to signal interest and eligibility for perks, but does not guarantee that any perk will be granted.

7.4 Organizer Responsibilities

Organizers who publish perks agree to:

  • clearly define the conditions under which a perk applies
  • act in good faith when handling perk requests
  • not arbitrarily refuse claims that meet their stated conditions

Organizers retain full discretion to:

  • verify that conditions are met
  • decline claims that do not meet the stated conditions
  • apply additional conditions where clearly communicated
  • manage availability where limits are defined

The availability, conditions, and granting of any perk are solely determined by the respective Organizer.

Repeated failure to honor published perks may result in moderation actions by nomads.site, including limitation, suspension, or removal of listings or accounts.

Such actions are taken to protect the integrity of the platform and do not constitute any guarantee or enforcement of individual user claims.

7.5 No Guarantee

The use of a Perk Seal does not guarantee:

  • the availability of a perk
  • acceptance by an Organizer
  • the granting of any benefit
  • the conclusion of any agreement

7.6 Platform Role and Liability

nomads.site provides a digital infrastructure that enables users and Organizers to connect.

nomads.site is not a party to any agreement related to a perk and does not participate in, control, or guarantee any transaction, agreement, or interaction between users and Organizers.

All perks, services, and offers are created and provided solely by Organizers.

Membership and platform features do not create any contractual relationship or claim between nomads.site and users regarding specific perks or offers.

 

 

8. User Content & License

By submitting content (including listings, images, text, or profile data), you grant nomads.site a:

  • worldwide
  • non-exclusive
  • royalty-free
  • perpetual
  • sublicensable

license to:

  • display
  • distribute
  • adapt
  • translate
  • promote

your content across:

  • the platform
  • related domains
  • external channels (e.g. social media, marketing)

You confirm that:

  • you have the rights to the content
  • its use does not infringe third-party rights

9. Platform Use

You agree not to:

  • use the platform for illegal purposes
  • submit false or misleading information
  • scrape or extract data without permission
  • spam or promote unrelated services aggressively
  • impersonate others
  • upload harmful code or disrupt the platform

We reserve the right to:

  • remove content
  • suspend or terminate accounts
  • restrict access

10. Visibility, Ranking & Surfacing

Content visibility on nomads.site may depend on:

  • taxonomy and tagging
  • contextual relevance
  • user interaction
  • completeness of content
  • recency or activity

We do not guarantee:

  • visibility
  • ranking position
  • traffic or engagement

11. Data & Personalization

We may collect and use:

  • browser data
  • IP address
  • approximate location
  • interaction data

to:

  • improve the platform
  • personalize content (e.g. nearby places)

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

nomads.site is not liable for:

  • inaccurate or incomplete content
  • user-generated content
  • interactions between users
  • damages arising from use of the platform
  • travel decisions, bookings or real-world interactions

Use of the platform is at your own risk.

13. Availability

We do not guarantee:

  • uninterrupted access
  • error-free operation
  • permanent availability of content

14. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time.

Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
